This is TRC’s 20th anniversary as a running club… yay us! And have we slowed down as a club? Maybe some of us a bit running-wise but as a club? NO WAY JOSE! This is the year of dynamic activity… the Points & Prizes for Participation program, a new website and interactive exchange (coming soon), more social events and now, courtesy of long-time member, Doug Piercey, we are holding our first ever Club Racing Series.
The purpose of the series is to increase participation in the club, have fun and raise our visibility in the GTA by showing our colors throughout the year. Race distances vary and the series also includes races that coincide with our regular Club Runs.
Eleven races are included; best 7 count towards your total; their are two divisions, male and female. 100 points for first, 99 for second and so on leading to overall Club champions who will be recognized with some nifty hardware. The track race at nearby NTCI and the last race will count for both double points and handicapping.
Race results to be compiled by Doug Piercey, your organizer. Both results and this schedule will be posted on the club site for reference also. Get your TRC T’s unpacked now that the warmer weather is here and wear with pride to count points in the series.
